Lloyd (Chudley) Alexander (born January 30, 1924 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) is the author of the total of fantasy books for children & teen, likewise when many grownup novels. Probably his best known contribution to the field of children's fantasy is The Chronicles of Prydain, inspired by Welsh mythology and the Mabinogion. A number 1 both books in that series formed a basis of the Disney animated film The Black Cauldron.
Fallowing serving in the US Army in World War II (where he rose to exist as the staff sergeant in intelligence and counterintelligence), Alexander attended the University of Paris, where he met Janine Denni. It were married around 1946. It currently reside within Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania.
